If you're near Seattle sometime, visit the Museum of Communications, or if you're near Maine, visit The Telephone Museum.

Both places have working displays of vintage telephone switching equipment that is just really awesome to see in person.

The Fire Panel Forums is, and will always remain an LGBTQA-safe community. This is a very shaky topic that could potentially stir up some hurt feelings. Just a friendly reminder this topic will be locked if it turns into a fire storm . It's not a choice, it's hormonal, you don't just choose to be g...

The trouble is I can't even do one lap, and I sink when I attempt to tread.

PADI course entrance swim test - at this time I'd fail it. That's what the problem is here. I can't pass the test so I won't be able to do the course.

Alright everyone, I just thought i'd check in and tell everyone where I've been and why I have been so unresponsive here. So, my interests have changed. I am not as interested in fire alarms anymore as I used to be (shocking I know) and it's boiled down to being a side hobby now, not a major part of...

I'm going to close this topic. This is technically in violation of the rule on proprietary codes, however since it is not a direct violation, I won't be issuing warnings to anyone. P8.* Do not publically post panel access codes or backdoor instructions. If you need to ask or tell someone a code, do ...

I have a notifier afp-100 panel that got wet and no longer works. The site has a lot of devices that they would like to avoid replacing. Is there any other non notifer panel that would work? Or an easily non software need notifier panel that I could use? Any help would be much appreciated. If you c...

In the meantime, I can tell you that from what I've read, the AFP-100 is the exact same thing as the Fire-Lite MS-9200. What that means is, you could use the newer MS-9200UDLS panel and still be able to use your devices on it . Notifier also sells the FireWarden 50 and FireWarden 100, which are bas...

Code won't allow it because of the inherent security risks of doing so.

IFP panels are part of the Farenhyt division of Silent Knight and you can't get the software for them.

The IFP-50 is an SK-5700 panel however it's programmed different and the software from SK's website will not work with it.

That's good to hear, since the only keypad I could find that was for DMP fire products was over $100. On Monday I'll see if I can get and info on a code. I think I found a decent price for a DMP 7160-W ($45) NOB (New Open Box), the listing also states that it works with all DMP panels. $45 seems to...

Ill have to try to track down a keypad for it Fortunately one of the nice things about DMP is that any 2 line DMP keypad, even the blocky ones from the 90s, are compatible with DMP panels. Therefore it doesn't matter if it's a 690, a thinline, an aqualite, a glass touch, etc, they'll all work on th...

Nick, I must ask one further question concerning Cerberus Pyrotronics equipment.... Are the newer electronic Faraday manufactured signals reliable? I only have personal experience with MC-S17-F horn/strobes ("F-Series"). I've seen videos of the U-MMT, U-HN/HNH, U-MHU, and U-MHST signals ("U-Series"...
