Re: Simplex Easter Egg

Oh so the only gasses that it checks for are carbon dioxide and ammonia? I thought it would check for a large variety of different gasses that could be fatal to humans.

Re: Simplex Easter Egg

What were the different types of gas that the detectors would end up picking up and the messages?

Re: Interesting FA setup.....

If it does end up getting replaced, it probably will end up being a Notifier system with System Sensor horns since they are taking over EVERYTHING.

Re: Looking for Another Panel

For me I am a bit prejudiced since I associate Notifier with the metric truck ton of SpectrAlert Advances that pop up everywhere at least over here so I would go Fire-Lite.

Re: Looking for Another Panel

I voted for the Kidde FX-64 but that is only because I never heard of it and want to see what it is because I never saw it before.

You mean that it was 11 at night when you posted. Something tells me your family wouldn't really take it too well if you did the test at that time. :P

It does look really nice! Very sleek and modern! You must have really been surprised you got it if it was rare.

Have you figured out a way to get access to the ones over the spent fuel pools?

Then I guess it could be possible since we had ours put in after replacing the older ones in about 2000.

Re: Rare Smoke Detectors

The one in the middle on the bottom row looks like a smoke detector that we have installed in the entryway of our house. How old is it?

Re: Exterior Fire Phones

I didn't even know that annunciators actually could be installed outside of the building where it is exposed. Even if it does have a weatherproof back box, I don't think still that it is a good idea.
