So they kept the pull stations up until the following school year before they plated over them? I assume they were still working before they got taken down right?

That is why they never happen at lunch or during passing periods at least for me over here. If it takes too long to evacuate everybody you would have kids scarfing down their lunch. I'm sure that restoration companies might at some points be pushing for all the sprinklers to go off when the fire alarm sounds. :P

Considering the fact that in the background there are 2903-9101 plates as well as what looks like a 2901-9806 without a strobe plate and a LifeAlarm speaker, i would say 80s would be a good guess.
