Re: Notifier NFS2-3030 problem

This is caused by a bad device in the loop , generally a module. Best bet is to try and identify a pattern . Usually one or more devices that repeat more frequently than the rest . Sometimes you get lucky and find a control module or a relay with the led dimmly lit solid and its the issue .

Re: Programming an NCA for a NFS2-640

The original nca will work with a 2-640 on a network . No nup to nup support. If you want it bad enough , you’ll need two ncm-w cards. $$$

Re: Programming a Notifier DVC

You are correct that a dvc will require verifier tools . You will need it to program not only the audio messages , but the amplifiers as well. The dvc does not put out analog audio with the analog audio card added and would still require an amplifier. I would look at a stand alone voice panel. You c...

Re: Resi Sprinkler System Flow Switch Wiring

Standard practice is to use a 120v bell . The flow switch will be used to switch the HOTs only with the common and normally open contacts on one side of the switch . The other side will be reserved for a facp.

Re: Fire-Lite Wiring Help

Like kcin556, I am curious to know if there are any troubles on the system relating to NACs. However, we have not received any answers from affmsgs. The settings and wiring that affmsgs says are in place, all circuits are being controlled by input 1. Since circuits 1 and 4 do activate that seems to...

Re: Fire-Lite Wiring Help

verify correct polarity of the input circuit on the booster. When the nac's on the facp are not active, you should see a reverse polarity supervisory voltage on the input. eg: - 8v with a meter probing red to red and black to black. I have seen this reversed. and it will not fire when the Facp nacs ...

Re: World Trade Center Fire Alarm System History

They are and the MXL is being discontinued as of 2018. I can't count the amount of times I have heard that. The good news is, the xls migration is pretty painless with the mxl line card. Building owners will be able to replace a blown panel with the xls and as funds permit , replace mxl series devi...
