Re: Advice to talking your parents in to letting you get alarms from eBay??

Re: Advice to talking your parents in to letting you get alarms from eBay??

It's just that I don't have an eBay account because I'm not old enough to have my own credit card and stuff like that so my parents just buy it from their accounts and then I just pay them back for whatever I owe. ...Not like I would want to be stuck paying credit card bills and stuff like that :D ....

Advice to talking your parents in to letting you get alarms from eBay??

Now I have a couple of alarms but I didn't get any of them from eBay. I wanted to buy a couple of rare devices from eBay but my mom, having a bad experience with eBay, tells me to wait until next week to discuss it. So I talked to my Dad instead, and with him being an engineer, he understood a littl...

Re: Rare Smoke Detectors

I'm not really into smoke alarms, but I saw a listing for a NIB Honeywell TC49A? type smoke alarm on eBay while checking around for pull stations.

But it's still on their website under their current products. Why would they do that? Shouldn't they put it in a discontinued product section instead?

Re: Who's been to a National Park?

Another thing to add about my time at Yellowstone National Park a couple years back: we were at the mud pools when someone shouted 'bear' and there was a female grizzly bear and a cub walking across the area. Of course everybody stepped aside to let them pass, but it was still cool seeing one up so ...

Re: Who's been to a National Park?

Alright, so I found time to finish which National Parks I've been to, so here it is! Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio: Located between Cuyahoga and Summit Counties, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is named after the Cuyahoga River and Valley. It was mostly a former landfill/garbage dump before ...

Re: Who's been to a National Park?

I of course forgot to mention the ones I've been to, so here they are! Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming: A few years ago, my family and I made a trip out to Yellowstone National Park. We got the oppurtunity to stay in multiple historic buildings/hotels in the park, including the Old Faithful Inn (...

Re: Firealarmkid123's Collection

It's just a regular, round break-glass rod. I believe this was installed as a replacement at some point, it's probably a bit thinner than the original rod. http://kcin556alarmwebsite.weebly.com/uploads/1/0/6/8/10689764/2817650_orig.jpg Thanks for the information! :D I was planning on using an old p...

Re: Firealarmkid123's Collection

To update this post a bit, there is a break rod slot on the Pyrotronics MFS-2. Even though I already knew about this, I'm curious as to why the slot is flattened (not round like normal break rods are). I'm just curious, does anyone happen to know what would have been in this slot originally? Just cu...

Who's been to a National Park?

I know this is pretty random; that's why it's in general discussion. This thread is about if you've been to a national park, forest, monument, memorial, etc. I decided to make this poll in honor of the centennial of the US National Park Service. You can also feel free to post where/which national pa...

Re: Firealarmkid123's Collection

Here are photos of my collection so far. Picture warning! I can't seem to figure out how to work the Photobucket image resize tool, so if anyone knows how I can do it so it resizes properly, I would appreciate the help. I'm new to all this Photobucket stuff so I'm not quite sure how the resize tool ...

Re: Firealarmkid123's Collection

On my Win7 desktop I only see the word "Image" four times. I did a little research and found if I quote the post the entire img tag information shows. I copied and pasted them into a new tab and the picture was there. Then I tried a few things. I found if the "direct" code is inserted in the img /i...
