There's already one of these on The Siren Board.

Re: I'm back

Welcome back! Its good to hear that you served a mission in Spain! Not to make things weird or anything, but its nice to see another member of the LDS church on the board! I guess this shows how spread out the religion can be, as you live in Colorado. Did you happen to take any pictures of the alarm...

Re: The people who make fun of us

All of my friends (two lol) know that I collect fire alarms. Most of the time, they dont give a crap, but every once in awhile, they do call me obsessed (in a joking way). Other than that, I dont really get bullied about it. I think the biggest reason is because I dont tell anybody, unless it comes ...

Re: Why I hate student council

This is what gives a bad rap to our community. If you have a problem, I would suggest that you would contact school administration, or @#&$, maybe even talk to the student counsel themselves?

Upcoming High School Demolition

Hello. A local high school will be demolished this summer because its sinking due to the soil its built on. Is there anything I should do to increase my chance of getting a panel/alarms from the building? I don't know who I should contact or what I should say. The school is literally five blocks fro...

Re: Two smoke detectors located next to each other in a house.

It appears someone didn't bother taking the old one off the base when they replaced it.

Re: Cutting live fire alarm wire

If you do, you would have the possibility of frying the panel, especially FireLite MS2s.

Re: Federal Signal Thunderbolt sighting!

Great find! Apparently they have a few of these units they restored a few years ago, along with an ASC Eclass. Heres a video I found online.

Re: Meetup?

I'm totally up for it, but it will probably never happen with the users under 18 for obvious reasons, not unless parents will get involved.

Re: What devices have YOU gotten for free?

I've gotten both of my panels for free; a Notifier NSP-25 and a Fire Lite 5024. I've also gotten a handful of Spectralert classics for free (which were included with the 5024).

Pull Station Restoration Help

Hello. Does anybody here have any experience with refurbishing pull stations? I need help with repainting and polishing my Edwards 270-SPO. For it to turn out well, will I have to sand the original paint? And does anybody know how I can wash it without damaging the labels? The labels in question are...

Re: My Home System (Simplex 4005)

Good job! I'd suggest mounting the backboxes with screws? And maybe using conduit/wiremold? Other wise, nice system.

Re: SpectrAlert Knockoff

I found this alarm manufactured by a brand named "KKmoon." Just by looking at the preview picture, you can tell the build quality is very poor and does not appear very reliable. If you're wondering about the "strobe", well, it's just 4 LEDs... Here's the link. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B01J5PDE...
