$7,702 sounds extremely high...

I do know a new key is in the 2-$3,000 range, though. That's a distributor's cost so if you are an end user it's not abnormal for the vendor to essentially double the cost of "parts" per say..

You get multiple heads in alarm or the A/V's activate on all floors?

The EST2 has a myriad of issues and I always advise folks to just move on. An IO-1000 is cheap and atleast you can get support for that panel.

I am way late to the party because I haven't been on the boards in quite some time but the question I would ask you is... What is the model number of your detectors? Are they the SIGA2 variant? I have had ALOT of trouble out of the SIGA2 devices. I mean, ALOT. To the point I have had installations w...

EST will do it with the use of the SIGA-CC1S. The only catch is all of the circuits you want synced have to be on the same SLC. Yes, you can use a CC1S to trigger a BPS10/6A and have the strobes all synced. This does not work on the older EST2, though. I have a VM1 system in the local NBA arena here...

I would suggest getting condensate float switches for your units. They're relatively cheap and easy to install. Basically has a N/C relay and installed in your drain. If the water level backs up, the relay opens thus killing the unit.

Yes, within 5 feet, normally on both sides of the door (there are exceptions).

Those doors are typically in fire or smoke rated walls, to keep that rating the doors have to close on fire.
+1

When looking at the main screen. Is AP @ 0? Does this go away when you pull the resistors off? We removed the ground wire, and the monitor light was still lit. we did not remove the resistors from the battery terminals. Pull it all off. Cycle power - See if it's still there.. Also hit status and sc...

I totally agree Lambda. However, when the AHJ says he wants it, it is what it is. I counted the cards but forgot to multiply by 2, lol. I knew it was going to be a monster but figured I'd atleast ask you simplex guys. Also, we could throw 3-IDC's at it but you're basically prolonging the inevitable....

The fire panel, is not on the second floor. The fire marshal is requiring them to have an annunciator on the second floor. I ...
