I accidentally managed to come across a new app/site from Oath (Yahoo and AOL's owner). Thoughts?

Re: New Edwards alarms !

The way I’m reading this, it appears to be the speaker/strobe version of the Genesis LED.

Reminds me of this:
“There was a fire drill today because a heating motor in the slp office broke and caused smoke.”

Re: NYC FIre Alarm

I know a common thing that they do is that they put a white stripe with a red background over the pull station or behind the pull station so that it's easier to identify. Not sure why they do that or if it's actually over the code. The white stripe means that the fire alarm system calls the fire de...

Re: Changes in Fire Evac Protocols in Michigan

So... Michigan is doing this: https://www.woodtv.com/news/southwest-michigan/school-fire-alarm-protocols-change-after-shootings/1472389553 In summary, if a fire alarm sounds, the students are to "shelter in place" and wait for further instructions. This sounds a bit like a cheaper version of a two ...

Yeah that is what I meant when I asked about the alarm. As for the pull station, maybe it was an older Simplex T-Bar they replaced and decided to move it UNDER the speaker?
The cover plate is too big.

Is that alarm a speaker/strobe or chime/strobe or is it an actual horn?
You mean the 4903? It’s a speaker/strobe.

Re: Most Absurd Description of a Fire Alarm Sound

I found this one in another topic: "Bells and sirens" was the sound of the fire alarm according to several teachers in New Britain. We had -9838's . Also, in an older post, someone mentioned a hotel where the signage said this: "fire alarm sounds like a bell." It had SpectrAlert Advances.

Because the school is brand new, there is no variety here. All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9754 LED single action pull stations
2099-9754 is the conventional version.
The new addressable version with the LED is 4099-9004.
