Re: Quick start

Hi! I found a post on TheAlarmTech talking about EST's QS-CU software -- I'm pretty sure this software isn't region-locked, but I can't tell for sure. You can read the details on the post, and download the appropriate version there. http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=382 Hopefull...

Re: Buying a new FACP, need backdoors.

Hi! This is a little late, but I previously owned a locked Firelite MS-5UD that I bought off of eBay, so I do know the backdoor to the SFP's. I don't know, however, the backdoors to the Simplex's. I can send ya the PM when you need.

Re: Simplex TrueAlert Horn/Strobe Power Sources

Awesome, thanks for the extra help! I've actually been meaning to get a couple cmf's now just because I do have an sep-sw, so the TrueAlert would also benefit from one!

Re: Simplex TrueAlert Horn/Strobe Power Sources

Cool, thanks! I'll definitely look more into the manual and make a decision from there. Today I ran across Fire Alarm Tech's Youtube video over how he used D Planet's step-down buck converter on a nac and used the converter's output straight to the 9938, so I'll also do more research over that. Than...

Simplex TrueAlert Horn/Strobe Power Sources

Hi all -- Recently I bought a Simplex 4906-9127 on eBay for a fairly reasonable price; I would like to use it with my MS-9200UDLS. I've also bought a 4905-9938 module for it. I've done some research, and I've noticed that you cannot under any circumstance use FWR for powering TrueAlerts, only filter...

Re: System Sensor RTS151KEY Reset Function

Neeeever mind! Me, being my young naïve self, just skimmed the wiring diagrams, and didn't realize that the two circuits are separate. I thought that the circuits had a common terminal (Terminal 4). Either that or it's because I'm using an MMF-300 with my new 9200UDLS (Thank you FireAlarmTech!), and...

System Sensor RTS151KEY Reset Function

Hello all-- I have a System Sensor RTS151KEY Key Station, and have noticed that the trying to turn the key to 'Reset', nothing happens. I just wired the RTS's reset terminals directly to one of my MS-5's zones as you would a normal pull or smoke. I read on the manual something about a test coil, and...

Looking for an Edwards 2452ths-15/75-R Mounting Bracket

Hey-- So recently I bought an Edwards 2452ths-15/75-R off of eBay, and it never came with its mounting bracket. I was wondering if any of you guys possibly had a spare one, or know of a redneck way of mounting one on a double-gang without it (I mean I could like tape the top of the unit onto the bac...

Re: Silent Knight - HFSS help

Is it possible that the device being mentioned is a 6820 and not a 6280? I'm not sure if I've heard of a 6280.

MS-5UD and Laptop Compatibility

Hey, So lately I've been interested in Firelite's PS-Tools, and today got a USB printer cable, downloaded PS-Tools, and began setting it up. Once connecting the USB cable to my laptop, it began intermittently connecting, disconnecting, and repeating (Keep in mind my 5UD's version is 2.3). After atte...

Re: Honeywell 6150 Keypad Issue

If I'm reading your post right, you can't control any functions from the 6150, but any status messages from the 6160 appear on the 6150? If so, I recommend checking the wiring from the 20p to the 6150, and making sure the data terminals (The green and yellow terminals) aren't in any way shorted. The...

Re: Power Source Suggestions?

A bit of a late response, but I still hope this helps! Generally, fire alarm horn strobes are powered on 24 volts, but a very easy solution to this problem is to buy 3 9-volt batteries and connect the terminals together. Connect the positive end (circular terminal) of one battery to the negative end...

Firelite MS-5UD Piezo Buzzer Replacement

Lately with my MS-5UD the piezo has been malfunctioning (Sometimes skips a beat, sometimes changes pitch), and I was wondering if anyone had a good idea of a replacement sounder that I could buy for it.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
