Hi, if anybody can help with the following questions, please.
- Any idea what the connectivity ratios are by protocol, Bosch, Ademco, DSC, etc. for IP and also who’s leading in radio (sorry I’m way out of touch)?
- Do all of the panels sold through these channels need onboard DACTs or are there some with alternate (or no) signalling requirements?
- If there are what are the alternatives and rough ratios?
- I understand that Honeywell (FireLite, Silent Knight, etc.) and the other Multi Nationals’ panels will have their own IP-DACT solutions and protocols but what are the other bottom end panel manufacturers (VES, NT&S, Mircom, Potter (who has one onboard IP port built-in), etc.) doing for compliance are they using their own or third-party units?
- If so any idea who’s devices and or units they use and who’s a protocol they support for connectivity?
- If any of these are using third party serial to IP UDACTS or modules have you any idea who’s they are and what protocols they support and importantly how much they cost?
- Do all of the low-end competition support remote configuration via IP? – if not which ones and any comments?
