Hey guys,
I’ve recently purchased an est Siga 270 and I have tried to wire it up to my system but it would not show the green led or even activate. If you can tell me the problem that would be great!
What kind of panel do you have?
If you wired an addressable pull station to a conventional system then of course it won’t work – it was not designed to work this way. Remove the monitor module and wire directly to the switch. Be warned, though, this should never be done on a legit fire alarm system, it should only be done on a hobbyist system as it violates several fire codes.
If you have an EST addressable panel you’re going to have to program the pull station in.
Since I have never worked on an EST system before I can’t help you there.
I do not have a panel so should I take off the monitor module?
Do you mean you don’t have a panel? Or that the one you have is not addressable?
He doesn’t have a panel at all.
Yes you’ll have to remove the monitor module.
You don’t need to remove the module. There should be two terminals, and they should say, “Factory Connections, Do Not Remove” or something like that. Simply take the wires out of those terminals. Next time get a regular 270-SPO.
Ok thanks!
