Fictional Fire Alarm Stories

Basically Make Up a System, but with a twist. Someone will post a system, and then others will post events that happen to that system for a story.

Here’s your first system, a rest area on I-65 in Kentucky:
• RSG RMS-1T (gen 1) pull stations
    Silent Kinght SK-2 panel (marchtime)
System Sensor MAEH (electromechanical tone) horn onlys
    System Sensor i3 smokes
  •
What happens to the system?

I can tell you what a moderator is going to do to this topic…

Plus, the SK-2 can’t even do marchtime!

Alright I think the moderators have been pretty lenient with these posts. But this is getting old… It gives users headaches with the forums being flooded. To be honest it makes the forums look very unprofessional and it drives people away. I know it’s not my job to say this, but I think me, and other users have had enough… :x

I’m not trying to be mean, but this really has gotten old.

Is it really any less professional than Make Up a System? Can’t there be a couple of fun topics?

For one thing, it’s more or less the same deal as Make Up a System (which in my opinion had run its course months ago). It just seems weird to roleplay an installation of a fire alarm system when in the real world systems don’t get upgrades or replacements every other year. I understand that you’re enthusiastic about stuff like this but these pointless posts (I would say the 4chan version of that word but I shouldn’t, so I won’t) just add to the clutter of this forum. We’ve got fun topics like Name That Fire Alarm and Make Up a System that you can use without making a duplicate topic.
I think the reason not many moderators have been active as they have been lately is because many of them are in school or they work.

    A couple?

We have no problem with having fun topics here, but we don’t need new ones everyday. Besides, I predict that only a few users would be interested in doing roleplays. If anyone wants to, they’re welcome to do so in “Make Up a System”.

electronicwiz101, please try to dial back the number of new topics. You’re always welcome to participate, but please realize that a forum is different from Twitter or Instagram - it moves at a slower pace and discussions tend to be mostly serious. I don’t want to be a killjoy, but it seems your frequency of posts is starting to annoy some users. Just lay back a bit and everything will be dandy.
