does anyone know if the power supply is swappable to the 240v power supply that is on the ms-9200udlse ?
No it is not. You’d have to buy an MS-9200UDLSE.
Reason: Unlike the MS-9050UD, MS-5UD, and MS-10UD, the power supply is integrated onto the same PCB as the panel, while on the other three panels it is a separate component that sits behind the panel’s PCB.
Why do you want to know?
because im in the market for addressable fire alarms that i can use in Australia
on the MS-9050UD can i buy the 110v and order a new transformer from fire lite for 240v
Maybe… however I would not recommend attempting to do that. Just look for an MS-9050UDE.
Now you’d be violating lots of codes but you could also use a voltage adapter to power it if this is just a hobby or a demo system…
My 4004 had a 240V transformer in it when I first got it and I was able to replace it with a 120V transformer with no problems, but unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to say if that would work going from 120 to 240V or if it would work on that specific panel. Like Andrew said, you’re probably best off going for the model that already has the correct transformer.
Hey have you seen and MS-9050UDE anywhere online I can’t seem to find any
Also what do you mean about code violations ? I don’t understand
Here’s one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/FIRE-LITE-ALARMS-MS-9050UDE-PANEL-EXPORT/dp/B0078877J4. Not sure if it would ship internationally though.
thanks for finding it not very cheap
looking up to $350
