Fire system changes required?

I am looking at an existing building, circa 1982 which is completely vacant. I am working on overall direction.

It is a two-story sprinkled office building 130,000 SF.

The FACP only monitors the sprinkler riser flow and tampers.

If it is substantially renovated, will there be probably be any requirement to replace all the sprinkler heads or to add a full fire alarm system?

In addition, they separately have a 2,000 SF data center added in mid 90s with FM-100 system, is that system still approved or would it need upgrading?

I don’t have too much experience with system design but if the building is being renovated I believe you would need to have a new fire system installed. Do you know either what or how large the FACP already there is and when it was installed? Depending on what it is, it may be able to simply be added on to.

As for the FM-100 system, mid 90s fire alarm systems are still pretty current but without knowing the details of the system it is hard to tell. It’d be best for someone with knowledge about those systems to have a look.
