I tried to download the manual for a GE QS1 fire alarm panel from the firealarmresource.com website but was told I had to log in. The site indicates that there is an association with this website forum as well as firealarmcollector.com web site. As I’m not registered on the firealarmresource.com web site, I attempted to register and plug in the pass code, however this never seemed to work.
Does anyone here know anything about this website?
Does anyone have a QS1 manual I might be able to get an electronic copy of?
Hi, welcome to the forum!
My name is Andrew and I run these forums.
Please be sure to check our site rules at https://forums.thefirepanel.com/cms/rules.php
and if you have any questions be sure to contact me!
Fire Alarm Resources is one of our partner sites, run by U8oL0, a member of this forum.
If you have registered an account you have to wait for an administrator to verify your account information before you will be able to log in and download anything.
Can you post here what you were getting for an error?
I’m not getting an error, however the web page indicates that an e-mail will be sent. The e-mail from this forum came seconds after I registered, however after waiting for several hours, I have yet to see an e-mail.
I would have expected an error such as “User Already Registered”, “Password requires X characters” or something similar, however there are no error messages when attempting to register at the site. I entered both e-mail address I use thinking I may already be registered, but there wasn’t any message (as there was on this forum) telling me the e-mail address isn’t registered.
If you want to PM your email, I can check to see what the problem is with it. In the meantime, the user authorization email should have the subject “[Fire Alarm Resources] Registration Approved” sent from “[email protected].” In the email, you should find your username and a randomly generated password. The email could have wound up in your spam folder. I have to manually approve every user account, which is why an email wasn’t sent immediately.
