If this is a non-addressable one, it went OVER the “actual retail price” of the station if you were to buy one from Simplex.

Judging by the numbers I can just barely see (Which are cut off) it looks like 4099-9003.
It could have been someone with a company or government credit card who was told to buy a replacement pull station and isn’t paying the cost themselves.
Sadly Yes We have bought that pull station. But there is plunty of other ones on ebay for a much cheeper price.

$50 is to much for me. The highest I paid for a pull was $20. I saw a spectralert advance sell on ebay about 2 years ago for $250, and it was for a P2R, and the quanity was one.I would pay $15 for a non-addressable pull, and $30 for an addressable.

Company card…probably. More likely someone who wanted to buy it and install without having Simplex involved.
As for Government sales, Simplex (and all major manufactures) are in the GSA catalog and must purchase through it.
Whoever pays that much for a pull station that is so common must have money to throw.
