How long do you think LED strobes will be featured in other brands. 6 months, a year, or never.
1 year is my guess
I would say that it will be 2 years. An extra year to get the patent so Wheelock doesn’t sue them.

All the other manufactures are doing the same thing right now…waiting for acceptance by installers, fire marshalls, AHJs, and customers.
LED has not proven themselves as a reliable and justifiable replacement to Xenon. The only driving factor to use LED is to save cost on low candella setups for installers.
Haha, I’ve hear the stories about the Exceder LED strobe failing.
That is what I meant when I made the comment. That lawsuit made sure that the 9219 horn and the electromechanical horn are gone forever.
Well if the lawsuit was judged correctly, it was their own fault for violating the patents.
Wait, IIRC Faraday made those horns, and the lawsuit had nothing to do with the horns…

Yes, I saw that system test with Andrew in it. 
I know that it didn’t have anything to do with the horn, but what are the chances that in 2016, 3 years from now, that they will still use the 9219 horns?
i am guessing that it will take 1-2 years for other LED strobe products to come out.
No, because using electronic horns is much more practical. I’m sure their electromechanical horn/strobes would have been discontinued by now/then anyway.
Unfortunately, we will never know now.
