Simplex 4040-80?

I was looking on Wiley209s fire alarm collection pics, and that unknown light plate could be a 4040-80. Or its a Faraday.

Link/Pic?

BACK ON TOPIC

This is an image of it:

It may look like a 4050-80, but it’s actually the size of a 2903. It’s made by Faraday, and not Simplex. Simplex didn’t have visual signals prior to the 4050-80.

The horn does not look like it even fits on the light plate

No one knows for sure what these plates are, but Federal Signal horns seem to align better to the plate than Faraday’s. Also, Faraday’s light plates looked completely different. Everything is identical to the older-generation 4050-80 except for the plate design and lack of screws on the lens. The best guess at the moment is that these were either made by Simplex or Federal Signal.

It doesn’t even look like the 9833 fits in it.
