Today, my Dad and I were fixing up one of the go karts we own.
He wanted to put on an engine kill switch as well, but the Ace toggle switch didn’t fit. Instead, Dad told me to go get one of my spare Simplex 2098-9806 key stations. He removed the LED, and mounted it to the kart with zip ties. We secured the connection to the engine, and drilled a new hole for grounding.
This is the result. I colored over the letters. He said he might remove the key switch on it and mount the Ace toggle switch to the key station plate.
In my opinion, great use for a spare fire alarm part! What do you guys think?
