hi guys i am pretty new to alarms and i am thinking about starting my first panel soon does anyone have any recommendations for addressable panel and any detectors for the system :slight_smile: P.S. it can be 240v or 120v

If you’re new to fire alarms, addressable is not the way to go until you know more about the basics of fire systems.

Are you thinking about hooking it up to your homes smoke alarm? DON’T! Those run on 120 Volts AC,Panels run on 24 Volts DC. And if your are getting a panel if it is not addressable panels cost hundreds of dollars even used. So I just want you to think about the cost here.

I think he meant that he can use 120 volts or 240 volts for the input power to the panel… not the voltage of the smoke detectors.
