That is a Wheelock ZNS horn/strobe. The black hole above the strobe is the horn.

Out of curiosity, I noticed inside the hole there is a reflection like a mirror almost. Any idea why there would be for a horn? I am just trying to understand how it works.

The mirror like surfaced you see if the plate within the piezo horn. This is what vibrates like a speaker’s diaphragm to produce the sound you hear.
