So I was at this movie theater and I saw the panel and it had a yellow led illuminated. What kind of trouble is it? Battery?
That’s a VigilanT (similar to EST) panel.
Likely just a general trouble LED, without seeing it up close it is hard to tell. Did you notice if there’s a power LED lit up on it anywhere?
Yes there is, if you look close at the picture right by the glare, the green led is illuminated in the right corner
Well then without seeing the LCD up close it is quite hard to determine what this trouble is for.
It looks like the trouble LED is lit on an ancillary board, like one you’d find on zone indicator boards or voice evacuation systems.
Since that’s an adressable panel (the only conventional Vigilant panel I know of is the FireShield), it might be a speaker trouble. Does that system have horns or speakers?
It has the older Genesis speaker strobes on the ceiling and walls. Pull stations are 270 spos
Then it’s probably a trouble with the speaker circuits then. Can you try and get a closer look at the LCD and the lit LED?
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by “older-style” speakers. To my knowledge, aside from minor modifications to the internal board, the Genesis series has remained the same style over the years.
I meant the series before the Genesis led
EST doesn’t have an LED Genesis, as far as I know. You might be thinking of the Exceder LED by Wheelock, or a series of Exceder LEDs re-branded by EST with different covers.
…Also known as the LED Genesis’s.
Well, they’re not original EST devices, I mean. Yeah, I guess I kind of sounded a bit derpy there. Oops.
