Hi James! Welcome to The Fire Panel Forums.

Be sure to check out our Flea Market section for some great deals on some alarms! I believe a user has some Simplex 4251-20's for sale.

Please take some time to take a look at our forums rules here, cms/rules.php

Old fire alarm guy wrote: Anyhow, that's my story in a nutshell & I'm sticking to it. In 2017 I can honestly say I've been doing this sh*t for 30 years. Sigh.
I just hit 10 years in the industry, crazy how fast it goes. More depressing than anything...

I'm Newly Registered To The Site, But I'm Not New To Hobbyist Fire Alarm Collections, I Started My Collection In Early 2006 With A Wheelock CH70 Chime, A BG-12, And A 24V Scooter Charger. The Thing That Got Me Into Alarms Was One Of Andrew's Videos (I Think System Test 10). After That My Collection Kinda Grew From That CH70 To 30+ Devices And 2 Panels. I Was 9 When I Got That CH70 And Now I'm 17 And Studying NFPA Codes (Specifically NFPA 72). I'm Awaiting Arrival Of My Factory New Firelite MS-2.

Hello everyone!

My name is Jason, and while I've worked in just about every aspect of IT since 2001, I'm currently settled in Florida as SQL developer working on business intelligence and data warehousing architecture. Typically you hear about people becoming "accidental DBAs", but my current position goes the other direction and you could call me an "Accidental sysadmin" as well. I honestly never figured I would have to do anything with a security or fire panel Ha!

That being said, I reached out recently here to help troubleshoot phone line issues with a fire panel at one of our remote locations and found quick and helpful responses. Thank you for the help and I'll keep browsing the forums to add some knowledge to my skill set. :D
