I know it's essentially impossible because of the advent of cellular, VOIP, and SIP telephony, but is anyone here interested in phreaking?
Maybe phreaking isn't the right word - maybe just an interest in the old telephone network. I was born too late and by the time I was able to comprehend making phone calls the networks began to change and PSTN was being switched over to VOIP.

If you're near Seattle sometime, visit the Museum of Communications, or if you're near Maine, visit The Telephone Museum.

Both places have working displays of vintage telephone switching equipment that is just really awesome to see in person.
