Rule against politics?

I think it's a good idea if this forum had a "No politics" rule. We already have such a rule informally, but I think it should be officially written in the rules.

No matter how well-intentioned, discussing politics online all too often turns into a massive flame war that no sprinkler system could ever put out. 😜

That does sound like a good idea, especially with all the stuff going on. Keeping the Forums neutral is a good idea. Everyone has different opinions and leans to a different side, and promoting your side can make this forum an unwelcoming place for some.

Yeah, I can absolutely agree with that.. when I have the opportunity, I’ll get the page updated to reflect this rule. On the discord, we consider it part of the rules as well. We’ll figure out how to address it as it’s one thing if people mention a politician, but it’s another thing completely if there’s a political debate going on if that makes sense?
