My collection so far...

The alarms I’ve collected so far. The commander 3 is a 12 volt.

yep nice keep collecting

I rotated and cleaned up your image for you.

Did you use photoshop?

Nah, old version of GIMP (2.6+ doesn’t like to run for more than literally 1/10th of a second on my PC).
I just did a 2x Gaussian blur on the alarms and a 5x Gaussian blur on the surrounding areas to make the RGB noise more smooth.

oh i might run it through photoshop and mess around with it see what i can do i wont post it here tho

Is that marker on the 4903?

I didn’t know there were 12 volt Commander 3’s.

It does look like an X on the 4903 doesn’t it?

Yes that is marker. I also found the horn to be inoperable. And yes the commander 3 comes in both 12 and 24 volt models. Either GEx-12 or GEx-24. And thank you for cleaning up that photo. It was taken with my iPod.

With the Commander 3 series, I think every model is supposed to start with “GEC3”. Also, whenever I type in “GEx-12” on Bing, Google, and eBay, no alarms come up. Does it say that on the back of the alarm?

The Commander 3 series can also start with GESC. And the data sheet for them has all if the 12 volt models listed.

I see what you are saying, the GEC3 is for the horn/strobe, and the GES3 is the remote strobe. There is also GEH for the horn only.

So, the model number for the alarm above would be “GEC3-12W”, it looks like.

GEC-12WR, yes.

Alright, I’m with you. Oops, I meant to type the “R” at the end of the model number in my previous post, because it didn’t copy.

That 4903 – is it electronic?
Here’s a replacement electronic horn for it, very cheap.

I like the 9838 the best in that picture. That is due to the fact that I grew up with 9838s. Nice collection so far!

Dang that is cheap

That is the first time I ever saw an alarm that cheap.

That is just a replacement piezo.
