High quality Alarm Recordings

So I decided that since I have the equipment to do so, I re-recorded some of my older videos in which I demonstrated the sounds of various alarms from my collection. I have since remade these videos, recording them with my newer camera, and replacing the audio with that of the Audio Technica AT2050. I set the AT2050 up to run into Sound Forge 10 and record the alarm audio while I sat there and let the camera film the video. All of the audio in these videos is left completely unedited and raw. The only thing I have done is increase the volume to compensate for the distance between the microphone and the alarm.

Just curious: Do you code your horns by hand, or with some sort of timer device?

Unfortunately, in some cases, I do have to code them by hand. I did run a metronome through my headphones when doing these in hopes of latching onto a suitable tempo. (120BPM for march time and 60BPM for Code 3)
