Odd fire alarms and new ones

Here’s a few I saw on wheelocks website. I think they are odd ones. Do you?

Here’s another one by wheelock. Rebranded sigcom pulls.

Those in the first picture are call points and are used mainly in Europe and are almost never seen in the United States or Canada. That’s why they seem so strange.

Those call points are “intrinsically safe” models which are designed for environments with hazardous gasses or vapors that could be ignited by ordinary electrical equipment. They have a special housing that seals off any internal sparking or arcing. “Explosion proof” models go one step further and are engineered to contain an internal explosion should gasses penetrate the housing.
