A local Walmart has ceiling-mount Wheelocj speaker/strobes. At the Cobe Nails place at the store there is a ceiling tile with a strobe sticking out. The rest of the NA is hidden above the ceiling tile and the fire label is almost completely blocked. Is this against code?

Definitely!
Especially if it’s a speaker/strobe - it completely blocks the sound.
I would love to see what would happen during an inspection.
