Hotel room smoke detectors.

At hotels that have smoke detectors with Sounders in the hotel rooms and fire alarm NAs in the hallways, does the activation of the fire alarm system trip the smoke detectors in the hotel rooms?

Usually, yes. The bases can be programmed to sound with a general fire alarm, but also just individually and send a supervisory should only one room trip.

There are also many hotels where the sounder bases are local only and the rooms also have a signal in them.
This is usually seen on voice systems.

This is correct, though usually even local alarms are wired in to cause a supervisory on the main system so that hotel staff can investigate. Should smoke clear and the local alarms restore, the supervisory signal will usually auto clear.
