I purchased a Potter PSN-64 power supply, and included with it is a note that says that new Potter a/v devices will follow the Gentex sync protocol instead of the Potter protocol but they are still branded as Potter. I didn’t see the SH-1224 on the list, but I did see similarly named products like S-1224. Would the SH-1224 use the Gentex protocol?

No, I think the Gentex protocol is only for the Gentex devices obviously rebranded by Potter. It appears that Potter’s Amseco products are now only sold in Canada and they are rebranding Gentex devices for the rest of us. The old Amseco Select-a-horn/strobe devices I think are what they are considering Potter protocol.
