Identifying old pull station (?)

In this picture…

…there’s a cover plate next to the 2099-9795. I’m pretty sure there once was a pull station there.
What could it have been?

Is that alarm a speaker/strobe or chime/strobe or is it an actual horn?

You mean the 4903? It’s a speaker/strobe.

Yeah that is what I meant when I asked about the alarm. As for the pull station, maybe it was an older Simplex T-Bar they replaced and decided to move it UNDER the speaker?

The cover plate is too big.

I do believe that there have been cases where it comes to pull stations that large cover plates are used in that instance. Don’t quote me on that though.

was probably an intercom or something not fire alarm related.

It sort of reminds me of a plate that elevator buttons would be on.
