What to do with smoke alarm manuals when moving out

For reasons I do not want to explain at this time, my (immediate) family will be moving out relatively soon.

My question is: what do you do with the manuals when you move out? Do I leave it behind for whoever is going to move into my soon-to-be-former house?

Leave them behind for the new owner! Do the right thing.

I didn’t know that people still kept their old smoke detector manuals around before they ended up moving out. I know that we definitely didn’t. XD

Any relevant manuals to the house (HVAC, security, appliances, and smoke alarms) should be left behind with the new homeowner. Any other relevant notes can also be left behind such as set codes and where the control panel for the system is.

Could you possibly make photocopies if you want to keep them?

I’m sure you could but you should take the photocopies with you and leave the original manual behind.
