Mike's Alarm Collection

These are photos of alarms in my collection. I’ll try to add pics here and there and not overload the topic in one night. I’ll do it alphabetically by manufacturers.

You have some weird alarms… Anyways nice collection

lol, thanks. I still have a lot more to get through. I have about 400 total, so maybe as I get into the more familiar brands names they won’t seem as odd…or maybe they will!

Next up is Edwards. It constitutes the largest percentage of my items, so I’ll break it up into 2 parts…

Part ONE!

Edwards:

Edwards #24

Edwards #202-7A-T

Edwards #227

Edwards #270 SPO (note the odd logo)

Edwards #270 SPO inside a cabinet

Edwards #270 SPO (old logo)

Edwards #270A SPO

Edwards #270A SPO (Dual Action)

Edwards #274-111

Edwards #275-C311

Edwards #278B

Edwards #311DF

Edwards #312F

Edwards #328-FB

Edwards #340-4N5

Edwards #341-T

Nice! The Edwards 274-111 looks like the pull station version of the Genesis.

Maybe to consider a small website to show off this collection? Four-hundred items in a single topic may be a bit much for the forum.

I would recommend http://alarmcollection.net or http://wordpress.com for something simple.

That’s a great idea! Thanks. That will make it much easier. I was sort of wonder how the hell I was going to do this without making a mess

I’ll give that first one a try, it has a cool name to it.

Gah! Screw it. I don’t have the time to sit and try to figure out how to put a website together. I’ll just post my collection in list form and if anyone wants to see a pic of anything in particular I can post a pic on request.

Whew! I think that’s good for now! I’ll do the rest later.

Alright, I guess that works too haha. If you want, I’m actually an admin on the first site, so I could help you get something simple and easy setup (which is the hardest part). Just let me know if you’re interested.

What happened to the “Wall Pictures” you had of your display wall? Don’t you have everything mounted on boxes and attached to boards?

I still have everything on the walls. It would be much easier taking a picture of them that way, except not everything is on walls right now. Only between 200-250 of them are hung, the rest are in a big box or sitting around until I put up more walls…hopefully soon. Once I get them all up, I’ll take some group photos. For now I’ll just continue making a list-style format. I’m going to be doing a lot of home improvement over the next week, so possibly some group photos in the near future.

There could be a few odd-balls I haven’t rounded up, but by and large, that is my collection…of alarms anyways!

Jeez, you could probably buy a house by selling all of these alarms!

Anyways, I’m curious about this wall setup, even if it’s incomplete. Do you have a picture?

That’s an amazing collection! The amount of rare devices you own is simply astonishing. It’s also cool to see that you have a few Canadian alarms (ULC versions) that are slightly harder to find.

Would it be possible to see a photo of your Simplex 2099-9399 CF pull station? I don’t recognize that model number and I’m curious to see what it could be, especially since it has French lettering.

Wow, looks like your collection has grown! If you wouldn’t mind, can you post a photo of the coded Fire-Lite BG8? Sounds interesting.

@Big Green: Sure, here’s a sample.

@Chupacabra: Absolutely.

Words cannot describe…

only this face can…

Firefly’s collection or Doc Brown?

Both?

Both.

That is the most IMPRESSIVE collection I’ve seen since thesdx has shown his collection. I also saw you had a standard electric light plate. Is it’s model number 5-350? Anyway, you have some alarms I haven’t even SEEN and I’ve been collecting for 7 years. I’d also like to see the back of the standard electric light plate, and maybe a video.
