Any pictures? Particularly where those date stamps are

You sure about that? LNG-1R/Ws were manufactured in the 1980’s when Notifier was still owned by Emhart. In 2001 Notifier would have been part of Honeywell and would have been producing BG-10s and/or BG-12s at that point. But if I am mistaken and that was really manufactured in 2001 I would love to see a picture.

Anyways, great collection!

I think that may be correct. The LNG-1R I have is dated from either the late '90s or early 2000s. I’d have to look at it again, but I’m pretty sure it was made some time after 1995.

After looking into it, it appears there were LNG-1Rs as recent as the turn of the century. I stand corrected!

I could he wrong here…

However, perhaps there were LNG-1X’s made in the 80’s and early 2000’s?

NOTE: “X” Represents the ending value in the model number, as that there was a white and red variation of the pull station. “LNG-1R, LNG-1W”

Here’s how I know that my LNG-1R was manufactured sometime in the early 2000’s:

The building that this particular pull station was installed in was constructed in late 2001. I’m guessing 2001 (or even 2000) is when this pull station was manufactured. The original system had consisted of these pull stations, System Sensor MASS241575ADA horn strobes, SS241575ADA remote strobes, Notifier rebranded System Sensor 2400 series smoke detectors and some type of conventional Notifier panel (I haven’t seen this panel in person, so I don’t know what the model number was or what it looked like). The system had received an upgrade around 1 year ago and everything was replaced with System Sensor Spectralert Advance horn strobes and remote strobes, addressable System Sensor smoke detectors, Fire-Lite BG-12Lx’s, the main panel was replaced with a Fire-Lite MS9050UD and there was also the addition of an ANN-80 remote annunciator. One of my family members knows a technician that works for the company that services the building and that’s how I had received my LNG-1R as well as one of the original horn strobes. Unfortunately, I was not able to obtain the original Notifier panel or any other parts from the original system. Once I get my alarms out of storage (I’m currently in the process of moving so that’s why everything is in storage) I will gladly take pictures of them all.

That would definitely make sense since I have an LNG-1R with an even later date (2003) written on its label.

Ahhhhh haaa… I knew they were made in the early 2000’s… I will have to take a look at mine…

It’s interesting to see the LNG-1 series in production for a couple of years after Honeywell had acquired Pittway (which then caused Notifier to become a division of Honeywell Fire Systems Group) in 1999 in my opinion. You would think that the LNG series would be discontinued and they would of only re-branded BG-10’s and BG-8’s (which they did at the time) like they do today with the BG-12 series.

I thought owning two LNG-1R’s from 2000 was a bit unusual. Definitely did not think they would be made up to 2003! Here’s a photo of the info tag in one of my LNG-1R’s (taken from one of my alarm collection videos).

Interestingly enough, this code is actually stamped onto the tag, not written on like in El Chupacabra’s photo. What I find even more interesting is that in both photos mentioned here, they decided to place the date code in the “serial no” section.
