I’m looking to embark on a project to create my own code wheel but need a small, 24 volt motor that runs slowly enough. What should I look for?
Most of the motors used on those code wheels, were the same ones used for clocks in time systems. I would try searching for clock motors.
Will do. Thank you!
I’ve been wanting to do the same for a system I might build. How would I shape the HOT contact to climb up the grooves to the normally closed for the arm to close the contact for coding? And what type of metal shaping techniques should I look into, to accomplish such thing?
An easier way is to use a micro-switch instead of bare copper contacts, or use a slot-type optical sensor and some transistors.
