Help with setting off 24v Adaptabel and Adaptahorn

I was wondering if anyone could give me help on these.

I have 2 alarms that I cannot power and dunno why. I have an Edwards 24v 4" vibrating adaptabel, and an Edwards older flush mount adaptahorn, which is 12V. I tried connecting 24v power sources to the bell, and it dings the gong once, but isn’t vibrating fast enough to hit the gong repeatedly. The horn, I tried connecting a 9v battery to it, and the horn clicked once. I tried for 18v, still clicked. Tried 24v and 27v, the horn still clicked. If you guys need pics of the devices I would be happy to post them on this topic. I just want to get these devices to actually make a sound!

The adaptahorn might well be an AC horn if it only clicks when fed DC voltage. What does the data plate say?
Don’t know about the bell though.

Yes could you give us a picture of the back of the horn and the tags

The plate just says 12V, no DC or AC. & Here are some pics:

The bell plate says: 24 volts, 60 cycles, .31 amps.

60 cycles = AC power.

Try powering it on 12 volts AC. It might be difficult, though…

Yes, I didn’t realize at all, I feel so stupid now! But, I went to the thrift store, and picked up some AC adaptors. Fortunatley, I found an 11VAC adaptor for the horn, and a 22VAC adaptor for the adaptabel, and success! Both work perfectly now, thank you guys for your help!
