9938 powering options?

Okay, as some of you already know, I own a true alert a/v smartsync signal. I am about to purchase a 9938 SCM. Would anyone know of good power adapters for it? I need to test the signal to make sure it works so I’ll know whether or not It can be used on the system I’m preparing to purchase. Thank you.

DON’T USE FWR!

Newer Simplex devices cannot take FWR (full wave rectified) power; it will fry them when power is applied.

I’M NOT AN EXPERT, BUT: 2 or 3 nine-volt batteries wired in series might work.
However, WAIT until someone with more experience can chime in. I don’t want to destroy your sync module!

I’m not an expert either, but what NAS- Andrew has told me, is that Linear and switching supplies should work fine. Looking at a module, I see it takes the NAC output directly, so it should work right off of a 24V power supply.
Don’t kill me if I’m wrong though.
