SpectrAlert Advance Help!

I have a P2R and I was working fine until about a week ago when I noticed it wasn’t sounding. It is set to code-3 but it sounds for a split second every burst then, fades to a lower volume. During the strobe flash in code-3 where the horn is silent, the horn makes a sharp “click” sound followed by a high pitched whine. After activation, the alarm smelled of burning plastic and the top right corner was hot. I have messaged System Sensor technicians several times but no response. What should I do? Has anyone else experienced this?

It is connected to a 30 volt power supply with the system sensor sync module. All 8 other horn strobes work fine on the loop.

Probably too much voltage killed it. I use 24VDC to power mine.

Actually, SpectrAlerts are rated from 8-33 volts so that’s not the problem

Hmm. I don’t know then.
