What is this?

Anyone recognize this device? Found at a site with a small conventional ESL panel and the only system smoke detector appears to be an ESL 429 above the panel, unless this is one.

I believe it is a Mircom smoke detector.

Hey, I think it is a smoke detector.

That is a glass break detector. Not sure what model, but the hole in the center is the microphone it uses to listen for the sound of breaking glass.

Might be an old heat. That notch on the side looks like where you would stick a screwdriver in to twist it out of the base.

I just found the model number: it’s an MIR-500 series (MIR-525 or MIR-545) smoke detector.

A few months ago, I saw one of these on eBay, but it was branded by a Massachusetts-based company named Falcon Detection Technologies. I wonder if Falcon was perhaps the original manufacturer.
