4100U Level 4

Hi guys,

We have a 4100U in “production”; so not a demo system. We need to do some diagnosing on our SLC card to see where a fault is in the loop. Simplex isn’t being much help to us. Does anybody know how I can get to Level 4 mode assuming I don’t know the level 4 passcode?

There is no way around the level 4 passcode on a 4100 system. The passcode on a 4100U can be up to 10 digits.

Absolutely no way whatsoever? There’s gotta be a backdoor in those somehow.

Most complex panels don’t have a backdoor option for security reasons.

In this case looks like you are stuck at this point and there is no way you will gain access, considering how Retired STR-SG mentioned that the passwords can be up to ten digits.

You probably don’t really need level 4 access. Most simplex alarm problems can be repaired by troubleshooting the problem.

Step 1: Define the problem : What is the trouble/What are you trying to accomplish?

Is your problem on the initiating circuit or an addressable notification circuit (TAC).
By definition these are both SLC circuits.

Once you define your problem, post it. Then go from there.
