Simplex 4100 Legacy - Positive Alarm Sequence

I’ve tried searching online, but as I expected, not much success.

This need is for a school. Without getting into further detail, the environment at the moment would be greatly improved if the automatic detection devices/zones could be programmed for a positive alarm sequence. However, I know this panel was designed in the 1980’s - but was top of the line back back.

Does anyone know if this panel is capable of “selective” (by zone/point) positive alarm sequence operation? As opposed to pre-signal… trying to keep from having to try to deviate from 101 Chapter 15.

Thanks for all who help

Yes, any 4100 system can be programmed for Positive Alarm Sequence. It will take a Simplex (now JCI) technician to do the programming. I looked it up for a customer years ago (pre-4100U) while I was still working, however it was never implemented. A tech can get the documentation on the programming through the Technical Support department.

Positive Alarm Sequence has a number of requirements. Read this article for more information.
