Programming a Notifier LCD-80 ACS Annunciator

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to figure out how to program an older style LCD-80 ACS annunciator (typically used with AFP series) into my NFS-640 FACP. The annunciator has already been configured for ACS operation and the address for it has been set to 01 since it is the first and only annunciator this panel will have. The 640’s programming manual (at least the version I could find) is not all that clear on how to program one of these LCD-80 annunciators into the panel so that it will properly communicate with it. If anyone here on the forums is familiar with Norifier products and knows how to properly program an LCD-80 annunciator into an NFS-640, I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.

You can’t. That panel won’t work with the ANN-80.

It’s not an ANN-80, it’s an LCD-80. IIRC, the LCD-80 only works with the AFP-200 and the AM-2020/AFP-1010.

Just turn the “TERM” option to yes and you should be good.

Run it in terminal mode off of the 485 buss and it should work . No address needed . You will need a tx and rx wire If you want control .
