Honeywell 6150 Keypad Issue

So I just connected a 6150 keypad to my Vista 20P panel along with a 6160 that I also have hooked up. The problem is that the buttons on the 6150 keypad won’t do anything. They don’t even beep when pressed. It must be addressed though because it beeps and shows the same indications when the 6160 does. I’m a little bit puzzled. Does anyone know what might be going on? Thanks!

If I’m reading your post right, you can’t control any functions from the 6150, but any status messages from the 6160 appear on the 6150? If so, I recommend checking the wiring from the 20p to the 6150, and making sure the data terminals (The green and yellow terminals) aren’t in any way shorted. Then, make sure that the addresses are set and different from both the 6150 and 6160.

Hope this helps, and let me know if this isn’t still working.

Does the 6150 have power?

Also, make sure you have enough current to supply both keypads. 6160s take 150-40mA, and the 6150 adds another 70-40mA.
