I recently bought a Couch F5G, the noncoded version of the ∏-bar pulls. It came in the pulled position.

I didn't have an Allen wrench readily available, and I was unable to "cheat" the lock with a regular screwdriver. Further inspection revealed that the hole goes all the way through, unlike its smaller cousin the chevron, and I could not see a hex-shaped bore when I showed my flashlight through.

Initially, I thought that the previous owners had drilled a hole in it, but other photos of this pull also show the hole going all the way through (but not in the coded version).

Is it possible the lock really is stripped, or am I missing something?

Nevermind - the lock is indeed stripped.

I was able to get it open today. The lock should be a simple fix.
