That’s an i3 with a sounder. The ones with built in relays look similar. I don’t think it looks ugly either, but to each their own I guess.

The 4 wire ones can look like that, but they can also look like the normal i3. The ones with sounders and relays look like that.
if that is the case, then how come i found it on a home security system? neither are in my range of expertise, but i do not believe those sorts of thing would have 4-wire detectors.
A security system can have a 2 or 4 wire smoke detector
