I actually didn’t like the Classic either, at least the wall mount version. I thought it looked kinda fat and the lettering on the top p-ed me off too. But the tone fits perfectly for the wall mount. Ceiling mount is a whole different story.
Not sure how a tone can fit a wall mount version of a device and not a ceiling mount but I guess people do have that opinion.
Well, the ceiling mount model is less uglier and is thinner, so it would fit better with another horn.
It’s 1/23/2018 and still no P4RL, P4WL, PC4RL, nor PC4WL.
I voted the L-Series as it brings the great looks of the Classic and the unique sound of the Advance together. Possibly one of my new favorite NA’s
And the L series is so versatile, too. Candela from 15-185, replaceable colored lenses for the strobe, clip-on markers for fire, alert, agent, fuego, etc.
I own an L series horn strobe and let me just say that it is awesome. They are multi-tone, multi-candela, and have a unique look and design

MayerFire:Well, first they would have to be discontinued altogether, remember the weatherproof versions of the SpectrAlert Advance are still being manufactured, and might remain indefinitely if System Sensor doesn’t introduce a weatherproof version of the L-Series (like Wheelock with the AS and Exceder).
The Advance 4-Wire models are still being produced as well.
4-Wire L-Series will be available in January 2018. The remaining Advance devices (outdoor, Dual ESD plates, etc) will be migrated to L-Series in 2018 and into 2019.
It’s now February and still no 4 wire L-Series.

Eventually…
You just got to continue to have patience.

Well, someone said that they would be available in January.
