why would it have FCI speakers then?
I don’t know. If you ever go back to that place, you should ask for permission to see the panel. But that’s such an interesting system, Gentex, FCI, Apollo, Notifier, Fire-Lite, System Sensor, and Wheelock.
(Might not be entirely relevant) I’ve seen the data sheet for those. Advanced was selling them for the Axis AX. I was so confused when I saw a 6 in sounder beacon base.
EDIT: Omg I was able to find the data sheet, I’ve been looking for this for about a year now. There’s an Enhanced version that appears to be multi tone though the data sheet was not archived. Intelligent Loop Powered Combination Sounder Beacon Base.pdf (430.2 KB)
Oh, really? Okay: might explain what one is doing in the US then (even though something tells me that beacon bases aren’t rated for use in the country given they’re not a thing like in Europe).
There was no one I could have asked, though there was some firefighters there so I did ask. They didn’t know lol.
I recreated the whoop sound from the Flamingo Tower/Steelcase Pyramid. It is what I believe to be the W940 for sure. And yes, it is W940 not FS90 because when I search “W940” on Google, I see modules that belong to this panel:
Why do you think the Flamingo Tower/Steelcase Pyramid use the W940? Just curious.
I went to this place today, found a system sensor smoke of some kind in the conference room next to it. I believe it’s an IRC-3, as I heard that they used System Sensor CLIP protocol for it.
Given the presence of that Integrity speaker/strobe (provided we’re both talking about the same video) that might make sense. Wouldn’t explain the FS90-style whoop tone though.
Which building has the Integrity? The Flamingo has some, but the possible W940 is long gone.
The Steelcase doesnt have Integrities
I’m referring to the video titled “Fire Alarm at Christmas mass 12/24/2017” that I posted here, which shows a pre-Integrity (got this wrong the first time) playing an FS90-style whoop.
What place? Did you take photos?
You mean the W940’s nearly extinct?!?! Just like the Firecom 8500?
I found this list made by Oregon State University, listing the fire alarm panels in the buildings.
One of the buildings has a Honeywell W940, but not the voice evac type. One of the buildings has an FCI voice evac apparently.
The 1 at the right is the number of voice evac systems in the building.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport had an FS-90 panel at one point. It also mentions a Delta 2000 panel that was replaced by the FS-90s.
Can confirm BWI had/has a non voice older Honeywell system. I’ve seen plenty of S464 pull stations. In the building. Some Honeywell bg-12’s that poll red, so it could be the original fs90, but I really doubt it. It’s probably a xls 3030 or whatever Honeywell calls their nfs2-3030 version.
Honeywell’s version of the NFS-2 3030 is an XLS3000. XLS120, XLS140 and XLS4K are the other Honeywell models of Notifier panels.
