1.) They don’t hook up horn/strobes. I believe they use a multimeter to test the NAC outputs.
2.) They do that. One end has a plug, and the other has three wires- hot, neutral, and ground.
They use the multimeter to Make sure the right voltage is coming out of Nacs
Good, that is better than connecting alarms. A panel could be putting out less current/voltage, and having an alarm or two connected may not show a difference.
yep exactly with just an alarm you dont know if its putting out the proper voltage
