Wait, so are they going to change the name SimplexGrinnell and their products? Or is that all going to be the same on the Tyco side?

At my local office, we were told to continue operating under the name “Tyco SimplexGrinnell” and typically we do not identify as Johnson Controls unless a customer asks us about the merger.
However, we were in fact given ID badges for both companies, from what I’m seeing it looks like business as usual.
Our company vans are also still decaled as Tyco SimplexGrinnell.
So far it has been the same; in fact it appears that there is a major push in using the Simplex brand name; the Truealert ES 5900 series being an example.

Yeah, it’s such a widely recognized brand that I think changing the name would be really confusing.
